We provide funding for injured Veterans to attend national adaptive sporting events as well as providing our own proprietary programming which is hosted at our facility near Rockford, IL. Without this funding assistance very few disabled Veterans would be able to participate in these life changing, and lifesaving, adaptive activities. Once they get On-the-Move, the research shows that they stay On-the-Move, whether it is getting back into the workforce, starting their own businesses, engaging more in social settings and relationships, going back to school and even pursuing greater levels inside their preferred sport.
Adaptive sports are competitive or recreational sports for people with disabilities. However, they allow modifications necessary for people with disabilities to participate and many sports use a classification system that puts athletes with physical challenges on an even playing field with each other.
The average cost to the medical systems averages between $300k - $600 Annually for a large variety of visits, procedures and treatments. Case studies show that these costs decrease to a fraction of the original while also providing the injured veteran with the ability to reenter the workforce, regain driving privileges, gain new skills and have improved personal relationships.
By reaching our goal we will be able to help over 2,000 injured veterans participate and compete in events all over the country.
From off-road vehicles to flight lessons, and adaptive-triathlons to parachuting - our programing provides all the heart stopping, adrenaline surging activities our veterans crave.

"Never in a million years did I think of myself as an athlete. I was introduced to the sport of adaptive archery at the National Veterans Wheelchair games and have never looked back. I have been part of the women’s Paralympic team since 2011.""I am a changed person since being introduced to adaptive sports through Oscar Mike. I have a new-found interest in doing all sorts of things and no longer feel I have limitations."
